RUNWAY LATINx Chicago 2023

The elegance of fashion and witnessing the blooming talented fashion designers, all showing off their original artistry in the Gold Coast and Urban Westside of Chicago.









Arabel Alva Rosales, president/CEO/ AAR Tech founders of Runway Latinx and founder of Pivoting in Heels, NFP , kicked off the first night VIP Reception, on Friday, October 13th at the Lamborghini Gold Coast. The evening was sparked with an intimate elegant private fashion show, introducing featured fashion designer . There was a showcase of beautiful colorful green covertible, red, blue Bentley's and silver lamborghini, to entertain a bragging photoshoot for those who only dream of owning such a luxury vehicle.


There were specialty drinks, Mamitas tequila , soda and the Solarum tequila which was a huge hit with gold flakes. The food horderves were by featured renowned Ched Dudley Nieto. The DJ Jerome Advento entertained us with a variety of retro 80s & Latin jazz. The evening attire was Ebony & Ivory as we witnessed beautiful guests flared in their unique versions to showcase their take on the love for fashion.


The evening fashion show began with our Emcee Whitney Reynolds, she gave a brief introduction to our guest fashion designers and history of the featured showcase designers. The first was an elegant flare that you definitely felt the love of nature, romance and silks of soft flowing gowns created by Designer Jeaniaco. I couldn't get enough of the artistic flow of contstant elegance that graced the staircase before landing down on the Runway walk.


Chicago's native, Carlos De La Rosa , introduced his native inspired collection for elegance, suits, gowns and coats. Very beautiful with trending colors accented for the season of metallic gowns to include leather outerwear. The evening was left to witness how empowerment was greatly influenced by the designers and the conversation overheard amongst the attending guest. Listening to the stories of so many people that evening left me feeling inspired and filled with overflowing love for what we are all about Art, Empowerment, Music and Fashion. What a beaufiful evening indeed it was in Chicago at the Runway Latinx 2023.


Saturday, October 14, was "Ritual of Fashion" Runway Show & Gala. The evening attire was "Necessary Opulence" with featured designers Nina Canacci David of L.A., Lazaro Sanchez (Costa Rica) and Toribio & Donato ( Miami). Mixologist Erica Villanueva and participating DJs - DJ Jason Hsu & Erick. Featured Chefs and Restaurans were Chef Roberto Avila ( Altiro Latin Fusion), Chef Michael Hernandez (Azul. Restaurant) and Chef Lupitas Romero ( Casa Huitzil) The fashion event was at Cine City Studios.


Sunday, October 15th was "Women's Empowerment Day" attire " Something Pink. Moderator Tsi - Tsi- Ki Felix started the afternoon, full of tutorials by top Celebrity Make-up Stylists, "Dress your Best presented by Arabel Alva Rosales, Founder/ CEO and " Get Hair & Make-up ready in 5 minutes and look fabulous by , Alex Lopex (Hair /Make-up artists) who showed his secrets to help assist in giving full structure on how to find your style. Hair style techniques and a powerful life instructor on living a limitless, powerful life with embracing being a woman. Panel guests were Hedy Raner(founder, Co-President Emerita Consultant for WBDC, Jennifer Pena' (Tejano/Latin Pop Singer) and Jaslene Gonzalez ( Model/ Actress from Season 8 of American Next Top Model.
